Sophia Harris identifies:
and later in the article:
So, New Brunswick has effectively created a proverbial bottle neck and barrier to East Coast Travel. Vacationers with a Nova Scotia destination as per the time of the article being written will be confronted by a peace officer as to where their intended destination is.
Based upon Sophia Harris, the prospect of actually wanting to travel to Nova Scotia is not on the list but further in her article she clarifies an option:
Now, I'm sure any peace officer would accept a destination of Nova Scotia as being just as valid a destination as P.E.I. and based upon this presumption those who own properties in Nova Scotia should be able to travel through. I'd guess, prior to setting off, if one were to get a photo copy of a tax bill or other such documentation to prove one qualifies might be an idea.
So, the next leap would be, what about travellers who have secured an extended stay at a Cottage? Would a destination provider's booking of accommodations facilitate?
Ok, now going on the PRESUMPTION that a printed copy of an accommodations booking would facilitate access through New Brunswick, the next hurdle faced by the adventuresome traveller would be Nova Scotia's restrictions. What are Nova Scotia's restrictions you might ask? Sophia Harris has provided some insight on this as well:

"In New Brunswick and P.E.I., peace officers stationed at land border crossings are authorized to turn travellers away if they attempt to enter. ".

"Anyone visiting Manitoba or Nova Scotia — or returning from a trip
to another province — must self-isolate for 14 days. Travellers
driving through Manitoba are asked to make stops only when necessary. "
We wrote March 24th, 2020 our BLOG Titled "What does the future look like" and in it we'd made the bold statement that maybe extended vacations were in order. Soon after posting but not due to our BLOG, a number of media outlets started identifying Urban Dwellers were migrating to Summer Cottages and Winter Hunt Camps. The idea that we'd posted ended up starting to unfold where people were initiating extended vacations away from "Home".
It is now early June 2020 and "Social Distancing" persists. Some things are getting back to normal. The 401 is once again busy at rush hour and many stores are once again open; however, things are not back to normal as yet.
The migration of vacationers to Nova Scotia are not just from other provinces of Canada but from also across the world. A good chunk from the US of A. Those citizens of the US of A who like to visit Nova Scotia are most likely itching to see the borders opened up!
As per our June 2020 Blog and in support of the 14 day Self-Isolation currently mandated by the Nova Scotia Government, booking that extended vacation might be the idea. As for that extended Accommodation Booking facilitating you passage through New Brunswick..... Who knows and It would be best to validate before you move forward on any travel plans.
Expectation Management regarding distance travelled should be kept in check. The Trans Canada Highway may have less traffic, but that open road is not a licence to speed. While maintaining the speed limit and using Toronto Ontario as a reference point, it is about 11 hours drive or 1,100 KM to Edmundston New Brunswick. Edmundston to Shelburne Nova Scotia is about 9 hours driving or 900 KM. These are distances and relative times based on a 100KM/Hour. Please watch highway signage and posted speed limits. Every stop an individual makes adds time to the travelling. Don't attempt to much, take rests and be alert.
